Last year, our team at A&F Sprinklers came together to vote for our Charity of the Year 2024/25. The winner was the British Heart Foundation (BHF) – a cause close to many of our hearts. Over the past 12 months, we’ve been incredibly proud to dedicate our fundraising efforts to supporting their life-saving work.
The BHF is the UK’s largest independent funder of research into heart and circulatory diseases and their risk factors, such as diabetes and high blood pressure. These conditions affect millions of people and remain some of the nation’s biggest killers. Through pioneering research, public awareness campaigns, and patient support, the BHF is helping to transform lives and move us closer to a future free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases.
From bake sales and raffles to fun runs and team challenges, our employees embraced a wide variety of activities to raise money for this worthy cause. Every effort, no matter how big or small, played a part in reaching our ambitious fundraising target.
On Friday, we were delighted to welcome Hayley from the British Heart Foundation to our head office as she collected the final amount raised. We’re proud to announce that together we achieved our goal of raising £10,000!
Hayley, a representative from the British Heart Foundation, shared these kind words with us:
“I am writing to express our heartfelt thanks for raising an incredible £10,000 for the British Heart Foundation. We are truly grateful for your support! For over 63 years, the British Heart Foundation has pioneered research that has transformed the lives of millions of people affected by heart and circulatory diseases.
Your wonderful contribution will directly fund cutting-edge research projects aimed at uncovering new insights into heart health, developing innovative treatments, and ultimately saving lives. It is through the generosity of organisations like yours that we can continue making meaningful progress in our mission to beat heart disease.
Your donation not only provides vital funding but also serves as a powerful reminder of the community’s commitment to making a positive impact on heart health.
On behalf of everyone at the British Heart Foundation, thank you once again for your kindness and generosity.”
It has been a genuine pleasure to support the BHF throughout the year. Their dedication to funding life-saving research and supporting those affected by heart and circulatory conditions is nothing short of inspiring. While our official partnership as Charity of the Year has now come to an end, we continue to encourage anyone who can to support them in any way possible.
Although we close this chapter with immense pride, our journey of giving doesn’t stop here. Following another staff vote, we’re excited to share that our new Charity of the Year for 2025/26 is Alzheimer’s Society, with a new target of raising £10,000 by July 2026.
We want to thank the British Heart Foundation for being such a fantastic partner and for giving us the opportunity to contribute to such an important cause. It’s been an honour to work alongside them. ❤️
