Last Thursday morning, our HR Manager, Dan Clayton, and Service Manager, Danny Heatley, took that commitment to Whitworth High School for its careers fair. The event provided an opportunity to speak with students about the fire sprinkler industry, the work we do to protect lives and property, and the wide range of career opportunities available to those considering their future.

Showcasing Careers in Fire Protection

When people think about careers in engineering, they may not immediately consider the fire protection industry. However, the sector offers a diverse range of opportunities, combining technical expertise, practical skills and the chance to make a genuine difference to people's safety.

From sprinkler designers and installation engineers to service specialists, project managers and support teams, there are many different routes into the industry, each playing an important role in delivering effective fire protection.

By attending the careers fair, Dan and Danny were able to introduce students to these opportunities and help them understand how their skills and interests could translate into a rewarding career.

Investing in the Future of Our Industry

At A&F Sprinklers, we recognise that attracting and developing the next generation of talent is essential to the long-term future of our industry.

As an employee-owned business, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We understand the importance of developing skills, sharing knowledge and creating opportunities for individuals to build their careers.

Engaging with young people at events like the Whitworth High School careers fair is an important part of this commitment. By raising awareness of the industry and showcasing the opportunities available, we hope to encourage more young people to consider careers in fire protection, engineering and related fields.

Developing future talent also helps ensure the industry continues to have the skilled professionals needed to meet evolving demands, maintain high standards and protect people and property for years to come.

Helping Shape the Next Generation

We're proud of Dan and Danny for representing A&F Sprinklers and helping to introduce students to the possibilities within our industry.

We'd also like to thank Whitworth High School for inviting us to take part in its careers fair and giving us the opportunity to engage with the next generation of potential engineers, designers and fire protection specialists.

Who knows? We may have met some of the people who will help shape the future of our industry.
