Trainee Sprinkler Service Engineer

Main Role (not limited to):

  • Carries out duties as may be required by the Labour Manager.
  • Perform water supplies checks and inspections.
  • Perform pre-run checks and inspections of Sprinkler Fire Pumps.
  • Perform correct starting procedure of Sprinkler Fire Pumps.
  • Perform pre-checks of Wet Type Sprinkler Installations.
  • Perform pre-checks of Dry Type Sprinkler Installations.
  • Perform weekly routine inspections of Jockey, Electric and Diesel Fire Pumps.
  • Perform weekly routine inspections of Wet, Dry and Alternate Type Sprinkler Installations.
  • Perform monthly routine inspections of Jockey, Electric and Diesel Fire Pumps.
  • Perform monthly routine inspections of Wet, Dry, Alternate Type Sprinkler Installations and underground sectional valves.
  • To assist all other departments and team when necessary and required.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary to the operational functions of the business which fall into the scope of the job holder’s knowledge, experience and/or skills.  

 

The Ideal Skills:

  • Attention to detail and ability to apply analytical thinking in problem solving.
  • Experience of working within a customer facing role, and able to build strong customer relationships.
  • Able to work under pressure and to a high standard.
  • Excellent communication/customer facing skills.
  • Disciplined and organised.
  • Full driving licence (min 12 months driving experience).

  • Rate £11.50 per hour.
  • Hours – 42.5 per week (9 hours Monday – Thursday 6.5 on Fridays).
  • Overtime – Overtime accrued daily, enhanced rates.
