Fire Pump Engineer

Our Service & Maintenance team is growing! We are seeking to recruit an experienced Fire Pump Engineer to join our team ideally located around the M25 area. What you'll be doing:

  • Perform electrical testing and inspection of flow monitoring devices e.g. pressure switches, flow switches and zone checks / guardians.
  • Perform electrical testing and inspection of air compressors and controllers.
  • Perform electrical testing and inspection of jockey pumps and controllers.
  • Ability to install pump ends (end suctions and split case) and commission.
  • Ability to perform like for like remedial tasks to electric fire pumps.
  • Carry out 24-month services to diesel engines.
  • Replace engines with new c/w base modifications.
  • Like for like remedial tasks to jockey pumps & diesel fire pumps.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Be available for extensive travel to various sites for system inspections, repairs, and emergency response, as required.
  • Overnight stays may be required (between 1-2 nights per week).

  • The position will involve traveling to different locations to perform checks and maintenance on fire safety systems.

Necessary Skills:

  • Driving: A valid driver’s license with at least 5 years of driving experience.
  • Technical Skills: Good understanding of Engines, Motors and Pumped systems is required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform inspections and manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to detect and report issues promptly and accurately.
