Join a Team That Powers Protection

At A&F Sprinklers, we’ve been protecting people and property since 1986 - and we’re just getting started. As an employee-owned business, we believe in rewarding the people who drive our success. We’re looking for a skilled Fire Pump Engineer to join our growing Service & Maintenance team based in the North area. If you’re hands-on, technically sharp, and ready to grow your career in a supportive, forward-thinking company, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Fire Pump Engineer, you’ll take on a variety of electrical and mechanical tasks to ensure our systems run safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include testing and inspecting flow monitoring devices such as pressure switches, flow switches, and zone checks; servicing air compressors, jockey pumps, and controllers; and installing and commissioning pump ends, including end suction and split case types. You’ll also carry out remedial work on electric and diesel fire pumps, replace diesel engines with necessary base modifications, and perform 24-month diesel engine services. This role involves regular travel to client sites, with 1–2 overnight stays per week.

  • Strong knowledge of engines, motors, and fire pumped systems.
  • Physically fit for manual tasks (lifting, bending, standing).
  • Great attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
